Registration Fees

  • Early Registration - Begins Sept. 1 - $89
  • Standard Registration - Begins Oct. 1 - $109
  • Late Registration - Begins Nov. 1 - $139

Registration includes programing, workshops, activities, gathering t-shirt and Saturday lunch, but NOT HOUSING. Because of time constraints, we will not be able to guarantee gathering wear for Late Registrations, so get your registrations and t-shirt orders in early. 

NO REFUNDS for cancellations after November 1.

 

Registration Information

  • All youth registrations must be accompanied by a primary adult leader registration, maximum nine your per adult.
  • ALL registrations will be submitted online.  Paper registration forms will be made available for those without internet access.  Contact Lori Hennessey at the District Office at 785-357-4441 ext. 223 or

  • We request fee payment by one church check per family group, payable to Kansas District LCMS.  In an effort to be good stewards, we no longer accept credit cards.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • May I register someone late?  Yes, however the registration fees do go up the later you register.
  • May I switch someone else for a person who registered and now is not going?  Yes, you can make your own changes, additions and substitutions online.

 Attention Adult Leaders

Adult leaders attending this year’s District Youth Gathering in Wichita will have the option to attend a Youth Ministry Academy (YMA) session at 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening.  The goal of YMA is to help congregations build, nurture and sustain successful youth ministry through educating and connecting youth workers and leaders.   YMA provides training and support for new or non-professional youth leaders by sharing best practices and the elements of a successful youth group.   YMA is led by a professional DCE and an experienced lay youth leader.    

Pre-registration is required and can be done online when you register your group. Vicki Lessman and Cindy Twillman will lead this training and want to know which of the following topics youth leaders are most interested in:
     • Conflict resolution     
     • Fundraising (How/Legalities)  
     • Event/Budget Planning    
     • Visioning/Goal Planning    
     • Lutheran Identity    
     • Faith Formation     
     • Legal/Safety Issues    
     • Physical/Emotional Characteristics of Teens     
     • General Youth Ministry Principles     
     • Creating A Caring Community  
     • What Works/What Doesn’t (question/answer time)
When registering for the YMA session online, please take time to choose your top five topics.

Hotel Registration Information

  • Each group is responsible for making their own hotel reservations.
  • Cost for the hotel is $99/room (plus tax) PER NIGHT - sleeps four
  • Please reserve your group's rooms by calling the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 316-293-1234 or 800-233-1234. Ask for the group Kansas District LCMS.
  • Tax exempt forms must be faxed to the hotel PRIOR to your arrival.  Please include your hotel reservation confirmation number on your tax exempt form and fax to 316-293-1200.
  • Make your reservations early, by October 1, to guarantee rooms!
  • Hotel reservations should be made early to ensure that your group will be housed onsite.  Reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours in advance without penalty.
